Experimental Sound Compositions

Space One

This space was composed with the SuperCollider computer programming language using only field recordings. The recordings were originally audio clips of a fork in a water bottle and rock climbing gear, and they turned into the following soundscape through experimentation in harmonic band-pass filtering, FIR kernel filtering, and various waveform modulation.

Space Two

This space was composed with SuperCollider using only synthesized recordings. In this project, I experimented with the contrast between synchronous/asynchronous granular synthesis and additive synthesis techniques.

Space Three

This space was created using a number of different synthesized and field recordings, mixed in Adobe Audition. The piece combines polyrhythm, frequency modulation, and using time stretching to transition between sound worlds.
